Vendor Dashboard Bias

« Back to Glossary Index

Vendor Dashboard Bias is the structural conflict of interest present in vendor-reported ROI metrics. Dashboards produced by Microsoft, UiPath and Salesforce are built to support renewal and upgrade decisions, and surface capability metrics – active users, automations run, prompts fired – that reflect their own product positively. These are not financial outcomes, and are produced by vendors with a direct incentive to report favorably. Independent measurement, with no commercial stake in the result, is required to audit AI ROI without this bias.
